April 29, 2024 - Very marginal on opening, but after about three hours turned into a 92-93 wine. Maybe not the pedigree, but great integrated fruit that is on the restrained side.

April 28, 2024 - Lots of red fruit. Easy drinking cab. Great everyday drinker. Yum!

December 23, 2023 - Tasted blind vs Long Shadows Pirouette. Preferred MFN, but close. Pirouette is quite closed on opening. MFN was too, but less so. Both better after 30-60+ mins. MFN has more fruit (esp. blue & black) compared to LS Pirouette. However, MFN is very far from a fruit bomb with lots of structure. It also has moderate herbal and earth notes. It drinks well above its price point. It should be better in 2-4 years.

September 21, 2023 - Decanted 55F, nose of raspberry and currants. Drinking nicely, good acidic bite at the back of the mouth leading to a generous finish. Peppery with a hint of dark cherry at mid pallete with burnt marshmallows(in a good way). I suspect with a good hour or so this will continue to open up.

More>> I'm now in hour 2 and this wine has opened up with some complexity. Its closing in on room temperature about 70F and I'm tasting cassis and chocolate. The finish is improving, it's delicious! moving this up a point to 93.
