    March 25, 2023 - 11-14% ABV

Color: dark purple with vicuous leg
Nose: light intensity. Subdued aromas for dark fruit
Body/flavor: light body. Dark red fruits; tannic and noticeable alcohol
    Aftertaste: short, hot finish

November 26, 2022 - Totally different bottle than the last one I drank 4 years ago. Much better! Same providence. This is fruity with moderately strong tannins, moderate acidity. Mostly black fruit with a bit of red. Does not taste aged. No rust here, in flavor or color. Drinking well and may hold for another 3-5 years or more.

April 1, 2019 - Drank from Double-Magnum, feally nice and liked by guests. Ideally to drink now

  • SWHighlander Does not like this wine: 87 points

January 13, 2018 - Medium dark red in color. Mild fruit, a bit thin compared to its stronger acidity and tannin. Not particularly enjoyable but not bad. Drinking at its peak now or just past it.

May 31, 2017 - This second bottle drunk with ribeye steak, while still tannic and darkly flavored, gave a much better showing of black and blue fruits.

(Château Branas Grand-Poujeaux) Very dark red violet color; appealing, ripe red currant, cedar, raspberry puree, roast coffee nose; tight yet, concentrated, raspberry puree, ripe red currant, roast coffee palate; could use 2-plus years; medium-plus finish (13.5% alcohol)
