  August 24, 2022 - We enjoyed this as part of a group tasting of wines from Argentina and Chile. It went down well. Rich, sweet, ripe fruit with cassis and some spice. Richer, riper, and less restrained than a more traditional ‘old world’ version of Cabernet Sauvignon but attractive nonetheless. Harmonious with good balance. Not in the same class as some older Don Maximiano Cabernet-based wines like the ‘Founders Reserve’ but it doesn’t cost as much!
  A sample was still drinking well 24h after first opening. The nose was fuller and better and there was perhaps a trace more vanilla from the oak. Good with food. 89-90

  July 24, 2022 - Fresh and fruity with a vibrant Ruby color. Intense aromas and flavors of cherries, plums, spices with notes of cedar and smoke. Well balanced with silky integrated tannins, medium-bodied and medium+ acidity.
