February 14, 2018 - Classic Barolo with good intensity, rose and red fruit. Has years ahead

March 13, 2013 - Tasted at Toronto Wine Cru Winespectator Offline. Not sure whether this was the Rocche or not. Decanted for 1/2 hour to 1 hour at most. Nose - not much initially, but openned up in the glass over the evenning. Started as a 91 and improved to a 93. Palette - Nice, initially abit astringent, not as complex as the Domenico Clerico Ciabot Mentin Ginestra of this same vintage (which was WOTN). Started as a 92, but the fruit emerged in the glass over the evenning, increasing to a 93.

March 2, 2013 - Brought to a tasting. Somewhat subdued nose to begin with. With time, opened up very nicely. Huge tarry nose, earthy with brooding dark fruit. Spiny acidity give nice overall structure mellowing out after an hour and still some tannin at the back end. Outstanding.

May 11, 2012 - Second bottle of this I've opened this year. Both were better then my expectations. I've got 1 more to go . This is very nice wine.

December 18, 2008 - Paired with Osso Bucco. I would rate it as a mid-level quality Barolo. This is ready to drink now - cork 1 hour prior - and will hold for another 3 - 4 years. After that, it's heading south.
