February 27, 2024 - The 2019 Chateau Catemerle is outstanding, best Cantemerle ever in my opinion, surpasses the 2016, 2010, and 1989. It is elegant and nuanced, balanced, classy, I love the 13.5% alcohol level in this generally high alcohol vintage. At $28USD, I am planning on buying two more cases. Very smooth, light on its feet. Yet another left bank gem from 2019. Outstanding. Rating: 95 points.

October 11, 2023 - Flowers,cassis and black fruit nose plus some wet earth and cedar. The palate is boysenberry, blackberry and hints of anise and camphor. The tannins and acidity are sturdy but not too woody. Accessible already with some decanting this will be excellent for another decade.
