May 15, 2024 - On opening, this was hard and tannic, with little fruit showing above the oak and tannins. Drinkable with food, but rather boring. After about 3 hours, this opened up quite a bit, with fruits (mostly blackberry and cherry) showing thru the still-tough tannins. But on the second night this was a different wine. Those fruits were now the central theme, with some tobacco and cedar. 88-90 the first night, 92 the second.

February 19, 2024 - After previously enjoying 6 bottles of the 2018 vintage I bought 6 of the 2019 and this is my first bottle. Liking it more than the 2018. Seems more approachable and fresh. Enjoyable on the palate. blackberry, black cherry, tobacco, earthy, minerals

February 3, 2024 - Somewhere between 85-90% merlot, the rest cab franc.
Decanted 2+ hrs and drank over the next 2 hrs.
Started off closed on the nose, but eventually opened up to plum, oak, and leather.
It had a fruit forward palate of tart blackberry and plum. There was good acidity which was tart initially. Grippy tannins. Baking spice and oak finish. Good length.
It wasn't complex, but very balanced and enjoyable. Paired well with cheese and crackers.1 person found this helpful Comment -

February 3, 2024 - Disappointed, since it had no special qualities. I'm wondering if it was a damaged bottle in some way, since I would never place this wine in the 90's, as some have here. Not that there was anything wrong with it -- nothing negative or spoiled, just not exciting -- a "very good" drink. I'm hoping the next bottle will transfix.

December 7, 2023 - Great at first sip, with no air/breathing at all. Absolutely opaque maroon, decent legs. Nose is chock full of ripe, sweet fruit; absolutely lovely. Rich and full in the mouth, firm but chewy tannins, with very pretty pure fruit flavors. Nice complexity and long finish. Perhaps the best value of '19 Bordeaux out there still on store shelves. 5-12-17-9: 93/100.
