January 20, 2008 - Opened at lunch and finished at dinner with similar notes.A bright ruby colour with youfhful signs a the rim.A mature cherry, spices, leather, saddle, vanilla, tobacco, the oak in in evidence yet so it needs some years more to integrate. The entry is smooth, with ripe sweet fruits, medium to full body, nice acidity, it just lacks some more complexity, a decent persistance. This a very nice second wine from Chateau Evangile, will certainly improve with cellaring.
