May 9, 2024 - One person here said "Everything you could want", or something to that effect. If you want too much dirt and very little typicity, go ahead. We would hope this would be o.k. bistro wine and enjoy it....I am just looking for some Bordeaux character and fruit. This is way too dirty and flat. Oh, well. Back to Chateau Grand Village 2019 for an extraordinary bistro wine that is on another level entirely. Same price. Not even close.

August 17, 2023 - On day two a little bit raisin on day two. And a little bit tart and tangy on the palate as well.

August 15, 2023 - Good black currant and fruit character. With backbone and good sophisticated mid palate fruit. Solid finish. Good stuff.

June 22, 2023 - Dark cherry fruit character and an upfront expression of Bordeaux. She feels they are quite lucky here because its a very homogeneous vineyard and hence all the grapes generally all go into the main label. Lots of gravel, a slope, beautiful terroir, and old terroir as well. Her grandfather rediscovered it in the 1960s. Back then it was planted with pine trees for commercial reasons but before that is was vineyards. Her grandfather noticed all of that. So he is the rebirth of the estate. And also the soil had rested during the pines so there was lots of organic material there. That all was in the mid 1970s. 1973 to be specific.

What a super classy rendition of Bordeaux. Everything that you could possibly want. A touch of a green character but that's youth. Outstanding at its price quite frankly.
