September 27, 2023 - Cloudy very dark ruby red that glows under the light. Nose of black plum skin. Notes of plum skin and dark macerated slightly under-sweetened blackberries. This wine is on the downhill slide; I’ll use the rest for beef bourgonone.

March 25, 2023 - Beautiful cloudy crimson color. Sweet mulberries dominate the nose. This is a powerful wine for a beaujolais within my limited experience. Black raspberries on the attack, ripe red raspberries on the finish, and mulberries and juicy black plum in the middle. Long cola nut finish with lots of the aforementioned fruits in the mix. Really good; I never would have picked this as a Beaujolais. It has the bones to improve for another five years easy.
