July 4, 2020 - A Very Fine Mosel Weekend; 7/3/2020-7/5/2020 (ICE train compartments, Mosel estates, restaurants and Straußwirtschaften): And there is still something special on the wine list, a NATURREIN one,
had to order one, a bottle blind to fool the others...., they guessed ..... a mature Riesling, maybe from the 90ties?
enormous feminin structure, only slightly touching the palate, but never leaves it........., the balance is there, only some sweetness left, tremendous fruit core, dried apricot, honeyed peach fruit, very sleek flow, lingering, at the end a whiff of saltiness, could have drunken this the whole rest of the weekend, a perfect MOSEL, a perfect Riesling!1 person found this helpful Comments (3)
