September 10, 2023 - one of the best Hanzell vintages I've had since joining in 2016

August 16, 2023 - World-class. As Hanzell always is. I feel as if I opened it too early, but what the hell. It was thoroughly enjoyable.

January 29, 2023 - By the glass. NW wine with rememorables aspects of tradicional notes of earth, violets, blackberry and roses. Direct, rustic yet with complexity on the palate. Classic in a modern dress.

Por copas. Vino del Nuevo Mundo con aspectos rememorables de notas tradicionales de tierra, violetas, moras y rosas. Directo, rústico pero con complejidad en boca. Clásico en un envoltorio moderno.

December 17, 2022 - Even young this is OUT-Standing!! Beautiful mid weighted on the palate with crushed berry for days and baked pastry for brekkie finish. Wish I had two cases!

April 23, 2022 - This is an outstanding Pinot Noir already. And, it'll only get better with more age. It's made with 100% estate grown fruit from 3 different blocks with an average age of 28 years. And what an estate it is. High in the hills on the western side of the Mayacamas, just north of Sonoma, it's one of the most historic and picturesque estates we've seen in California. This has a subtle, old school style, with 31% whole cluster and oak aging is in 28% new and 72% neutral barrels. There's lots of cherry, blackberry and forest floor here, along with bright acidity. It's reminiscent of some of my favourite Sonoma Coast PNs. We served it with a slight chill, after about 2 hours of slow-ox and paired with roast turkey.
