July 8, 2023 - Initially this was a bit closed relative to the prior bottle and I wasn’t able to coax much out of it even after a decant. I recorked and revisited several times over the following week plus. The first few days it had evolved but was somewhat disjointed. Then, at about a week in, it started to sing. By the final glass, roughly 1.5 weeks from opening, this was showing as beautifully as my prior bottle. A 94+ at that point, suggesting this has a very rewarding and long life ahead. But this bottle was shut down today and this may be in an awkward phase in the near term.

April 29, 2023 - Very round, strong berries that are integrated with incredible minerals, almost salty at the end.

July 8, 2022 - Gorgeous wine that was drinking well after only a short decant. Surprising how well this showed given its youth, yet it clearly had the stuffing to suggest a very long life ahead. The nose was expressive and complex, with a lot to decipher- and it held interest over the course of the evening. On the palate, this evolved with each sip, revealing waves of red fruit, mineral and an herbaceousness, along with fine tannins. While cherry notes were clear, there was also fruit character that I couldn’t place but was very unique- at least to me, admittedly someone without a ton of experience with Priorat or Spanish reds in general. Overall this was almost satiny smooth and the finish went on and on. Not quite at the level of older vintage Único or Pingus that I’ve had, but definitely worthy of being in the same conversation.

April 3, 2021 - Promising, but too young. Need time to open up. Full body wine.
