January 30, 2024 - I'm not much of a Riesling person, but we visited the Finger Lakes region a couple of years ago and I recall our tasting at HJW standing out from the rest. This wine was a touch sweeter than I remember, but the dry, light fruits were enjoyable. Notes of apricot and honeysuckle were most prominent. Not sure I would run out to buy more, but I won't hesitate to try another glass...especially with food.

October 29, 2023 - Quite simple but offers good entry into Finger Lakes Riesling. Lemon/lime dominates the wine along with minerality and quite a lot of acidity.

March 16, 2023 - 9 Rieslings - 6 Dry 3 Off Dry: Wine six, this fit right in with the german rieslings and could have fooled me, there was really only one pick for an outlier (3). Ripe apple with a hint of petrol on the nose, after a few minutes picked up on some white florals/honeysuckle. On the palate very ripe lemon, maybe lemon curd in with the florals. Very good showing for this wine.

March 16, 2023 - Nine Rieslings, Mostly Dry, with Seven DC Doods (DeeCee Columbia Heights): Pale straw color. Soaring mineral and white floral components on the nose. Bright, energetic, refreshing mineral, crystal clear mandarin, some ripe green apple, and a persistent finish. Really surprisingly good amongst some strong German competition in this blind tasting… especially good value.

This was opened and dumped into a carafe about two hours prior to tasting.

November 28, 2022 - A good well made wine. Not as good as some of it colleagues in FLX which have more delineation, fruit and acidity. But very nice quaffing wine.
