December 3, 2023 - Archetypal Marg River CS, herbal, bay, juicy blackcurrant, plush rounded tannins

October 7, 2022 - Herbal, classic Margaret River, lighter bodied. Very accessible now.

August 2, 2022 - A dense and complex nose, full of fresh blackcurrant, toasted spices, smoked ham, dried herbs and bell peppers. Very classic Margaret River personality, just better purity and layers of flavours. Rich and smoky palate, with some sweetness of fruits and earthy nuances. A nice freshness came through just before the end of the full-bodied palate. Finish is deep and has a slight bitterness. Still young and developing. Give this 3 more years for the tannins to recede more to reveal the layers of elements hiding behind the structure. 92-94 pts.

February 6, 2022 - Nice wine and better on the second night. Blackcurrants and hint of tobacco. Can be found for a good price and well worth it. Feels long term. Very good 92-94

January 30, 2022 - Russk. Coming for me just under the WOTNs. Starting to understand Margaret River Cabs: half way between the old and new world. Acidity high (like Bdx or Alto Adige). Alcohol, fruit and extract moderate (unlike Bulghari, Wash and Cali). Very little earthy aromatics (unlike Bdx and Alto Adige). Still a bit more fruit (balanced by acid) than Bdx. 90+.
