February 11, 2024 - Opened for 3.5 hours. Color is ruby with some brown on the rim. On the nose: Cherry, rose, tar and forest floor/mushroom, a bit of alcohol heat also evident. On the palate: Cherry, rose, dry tannins, bit of strawberry, forest floor/earthiness. Flavors and broad and deep . This is an outstanding wine and incredible value for money IMO. I am going back to the wine store next weekend and get some more.

January 1, 2024 - Powerful, grippy tannins, lovely fruit underneath it all, and long finish. Seems like it would benefit from more time in the bottle. Had it with Paula Wolfert’s Cassoulet in the Style of Toulouse and it was a bit too big despite the fattiness of the dish. In the end a pinot noir worked better.

November 19, 2023 - It tastes great for the price.
Beautiful scents such as rose, raspberry, tobacco, cocoa, and smoke.
Attractive acidity and sweetness are balanced.
