October 21, 2023 - Decanted 1 hour before jumping in. Lighter style of Cab Franc than others I have tried, but very pleasing nonetheless. Smooth tannins with red and dark fruits on the nose. Hits the mark for sure.

March 24, 2023 - Dark ruby color. Savory, earthy nose of fresh soil, herbs, pepper to go along with some dark plum and black cherry notes. Some floral notes as well. Similar flavors on the palate with a mixture of dark, tangy red fruits with savory, spicy, earthy flavors. Medium+ acidity and tannins, medium body. Lots of life left in this wine and a really nice old world interpretation of cabernet franc from Napa.

December 4, 2022 - This provided the experience of a young high quality Chinon from the pre-climate change 90s. Fine tannins & ample acidity with a core of emerging flavors. Would love revisit this wine in 6-10 years.

July 30, 2021 - We drank this without decanting on a cool summer evening. Paired with meat lasagna, it was absolutely delicious straight out of the bottle. We agree with other reviewers that it has no hard edges and a lovely and lively fruit-tannin balance. One of the best balanced Cab Francs straight out of the bottle that we have had in a long time. It will benefit from more time in the bottle for the tannins to soften, but can be drunk now with joy and confidence.

May 1, 2021 - A franc with the franc-ness dialed up to 11. Tons of the bell pepper, dried herbs, etc that franc is known for. No hard edges with balanced alcohol, acid, and tannin. Medium finish with savory flavors overtaking any of the dark fruit that was in the background. A solid wine if you want someone to be clubbed over the head with franc flavors; but I’ve had more exciting francs from Detert and Joregensen.
