April 7, 2024 - Drinking really nicely already. Doesn’t need much aeration. A nice floral element under the signature lipstick (which I often get with this house) - this is a pretty wine, and very accessible already especially given the year.

February 8, 2024 - Wow! The definition of Tempest is “ a violent wind or storm,” but this wine is not violent at all. Maybe Temptress is a better name, “a woman who tempts, entices, or allures,” because this is a sexy, voluptuous wine and keeps you coming back for more. Wafting aromas of cassis, vanilla and mocha. On the palate the wine is big, thick and velvety with chocolate covered cherries, cassis, blackberry, blueberry. Poured a couple of glasses straight out of the cellar and let them sit for about a half hour then polished off the bottle over the next 2-3 hours. Killer wine.

December 28, 2023 - Ripe red and black fruits. Roasted coffee, vanilla muffins, little hints of crushed rocks and melted red licorice. Solid acidity, ripening tannins on a lovely finish.

August 29, 2023 - Realm’s Merlot , always a nice wine for the entry level Realm. This did not disappoint, it’s just coming around and into its own. 1.5hr decant and this was on point, another year or two and this only gets better.
