August 30, 2023 - Probably drank this prematurely - felt way more closed than the 2017 which I drunk a year ago. Much more on the black fruit side of the spectrum, and lacking the “ethereal” high notes of the earlier, colder vintage. After a couple of hours in the decanter, some of those elements started to show - grapefruit, tomato, almost herbal aromas alongside the tight black fruit and umami tones. Will
