Community Tasting Notes 6

    December 22, 2016 - Incredibly youthful, a real surprise.
Nice (red and black) fruit (and truly youthful cherry fruit according to my wife who is much more sophisticated than me) in the nose, well balanced and rounded in the mouth, and with long finish.
This wine was forgotten in my mother-in-law's cellar and we told her that she waited too long; well, we were wrong.

June 21, 2014 - Nose a bit muted, cherry cherry cherry on the palate , agree with another tasting note that this was better at first but as it opened up it got more jammy and less enjoyable with food.

April 18, 2014 - Spectacular wine! Outstanding example of the Patz and Hall brand.

November 8, 2010 - very dark purple. enjoyable at first but after extended aeration, the wine seemed a bit overextracted with aromas, flavors, and a palatal impression of a somewhat cloying cranberry jaminess.

September 3, 2010 - color is a very dark purple. nose is quite clean, pure and lightly floral. taste is big sweet cherries in the RRV style but goes beyond adding deeper impressions of earth and minerality. nice cola/tang on the finish. big yet elegant. not to state the obvious, but pinots from this producer are remarkably consistent.
