April 27, 2024 - Deep purple/ruby in color, this Syrah exhibited pronounced notes of dark fruit, plum and licorice. Concentrated and full bodied with smooth medium tannins and medium acidity ending with a med/long finish.

April 21, 2024 - Soft tannins, medium to full body. Lower acidity than expected. The dark fruit notes come to the fore. Nice match with Santa Maria style tri tip.

April 19, 2024 - Notes of dark cherry and spice. Decanted 1 hour. Had a bottle a year ago that I enjoyed much more. This one seemed way too big and too hot, to the point of being unbalanced.

Quite sweet black and blue notes, ripe and furry tannins. This just about crosses the line of feeling syrupy, yet it is saved by some brambly structure and good acidity. Still to big and blurry for my liking. Amazingly open for such a big wine, and maybe it is meant to for early enjoyment if you like this style.
