September 25, 2017 - Blind Tasting with three cabs - Beringer Res. 2003, Columbia Crest 2014 and Robert Craig 2004. All wines were good, hard to pick a winner. The Beringer and Robert Craig were more dense, dark in color, the Robert Craig took a little more time to unwind. Teh Columbia Crest was a bit more vibrant in flavor and the color had a nice purple tint to it. None of them blew me away yet were equally enjoyable.

June 17, 2014 - Father day dinner wine. Robert Craig 2004 - Dry, light fruit and oak. Body and color was in very good order. Nice drink! Wente Nth Degree Cab 2008 - Not quite as nice, more earthy but still very good. Color and body in tact as well.

January 24, 2014 - At first, seemed a little lacking but just needed time to actually open up. 3 hours after opening and taking the first sip, it was an outstanding drink with cherry, cassis and a medium to long finish.

July 4, 2013 - Came from the cellar a little warmer than desired. Decanted, poured back into the bottle and put in the fridge to drive the temp down a few degrees. The wine was transformed. Overall, very good.

June 16, 2013 - I have no idea how Wine Spectator rated this a 74. Goes to show that ratings don't always have much meaning. Everybody really liked this wine. A full-bodied, but not overwhelmingly huge wine. Brambly mountain fruit, some peppery spice and a little earthiness. Nice core of ripe fruit but definitely not a sweet wine. In prime drinking stage with a 1 hour decant.
