April 19, 2024 - Tried with Coravin. First bottle had hint of volatile acidity. So tapped into another one, with the same result. In addition to the typical forest floor smell there was some volatile acidity. Color is light, as one would expect for a nebbiolo. Unexpectedly and contrary to other reviews, there are almost no tannins. wine is rather light in body. What is going on? Wine was stored in aircond cellar, purchased from producer directly. Will wait for a while, then may decant a bottle for a couple of hours.

April 17, 2024 - Rich and powerful, this has aromas of black cherry, u see rush and leather. Full-bodied, this is absolutely brimming with sweet black cherry liqueur, pomegranate juice, blood orange and rust. Still tannic, but if high quality. This is pretty fantastic right now. Drink now-2030+ 92

June 9, 2023 - Really lovely and accessible. A highly perfumed nose of red fruits and flora. Nice fruit on the palate, some earthiness and moderate structure. Very well balanced.

July 3, 2022 - Bottle 1265g. Moderately intense aromas, spicy, dusty, tart cherry. Dry, with elevated, prickly acidity; pronounced, drying tannins; medium-bodied, 14.5°, a bit hot. Tart cherry, on the palate, with some savory, soyish flavors. Youthful.

December 3, 2021 - Return to Piemonte!; 11/25/2021-12/4/2021 (Castello di Sinio, Alba, other various locations): Blend of the different vineyards and more of the old vines for Trifolera and then the Rabaja that doesn’t go into the single vineyards. This is balsamic first but then darker fruit (fig) and maybe a hint floral and also just a touch of sweet. Very accessible and easy and soft. It is a wine that is meant to be drinkable and even a bit early for the barbaresco style. I enjoyed it.
