January 29, 2024 - $22 value Mendoza 2019 Bodega Catena Zapata Cabernet Sauvignon Catena High Mountain Vines. Similar to notes from April 2023. Mid-dark garnet, viscous (13.5 alc.); berries, herbaceous, ripe grape, wood nose; mid acids; mid+ tannins; mid-full depth; semi-long berry finish. w/flank steak. 16/90.

December 6, 2023 - Enjoyable for 20 bucks but a little disappointing after many fantastic experiences with their entry level malbec, which is the same price and pretty vastly better in my opinion, with considerably more presence and interest. There's some good dark fruit here with vague spiced plum, very very faint tobacco nuance without being super green, but in general it's just very shy and muddled. I like that it's not overly heavy, and it still shows some good ripeness, but the tannins are also pretty coarse and dusty without food.

June 10, 2023 - Mörka bär, ganska kraftigt. Aningen spritig i första munnen, försvinner snabbt. Lakrits, björnbär. Lite kort eftersmak. Gott! Inte för fylligt.
