April 16, 2024 - The wine definitely needs 30 minutes of air to calm down as it's quite aggressive and bitter at first. The aromas are fairly light, showing some crunchy dried dirt clod, graphite dust, and blue fruited note as well. It's pleasant, but does take some attention and coaxing to come out. Palate is light to medium in body, but the tannins are still quite aggressive and attack hard quickly. Some additional notes of gravel and soil, with some thick dark fruit. Really, the palate is quite dominant with tannins unless the sips are tiny. Those tannins dial in hard on the finish as well, and here they remain fairly bitter. Some notes of blue fruit, but it's primarily about the tannins that linger. This is a decent wine, but it's a bit out of balance with the tannin profile too aggressive and overpowering the fruit.

May 4, 2023 - Moderate earthy musky nose. Initially acidic becoming a bit sweet and mellow. Medium bodied.

January 29, 2023 - A very nice bottle for the price which worked well for the short tib ragu over fresh pasta. Initially acidic but smoothed out with air. Again, nice value but tre bicchieri on this wine is a bit surprising.
