November 9, 2014 - An evening with friends and a lot of wine (Chris and Renee's Home): Another wine I brought that I had saved to see where this would go with some age. It has an artificial pink cork which worried me. It makes a nice presentation though. The nose is marred b a bit of brett. IIRC, Time Spear got angry with me when I said there is brett on this wine on release. I stick by it though. It has been in my cellar since release and has not bloomed to a terrible amount. Lou, who loves the funk, found it to have too much Band-Aid. I had no real issue, but it is there. Still, there is nice black raspberry fruit left. A nice complexity. It has held up just fine. At $16 and 12 years from vintage, this was a great QPR.

October 5, 2009 - The brett/outhouse notes were too strong even for this lover of animal wines.

September 22, 2008 - This has awsome deep opaque purple color. The nose is floral and meaty with blueberry friut and brine. The palate is rich but there's considerable heat on the finish which seems to wash out any real length. Drink up.

September 16, 2008 - Big jammy, over extracted, fruit bomb, given that that was what they were trying to produce, I think they did a decent job;
maybe there was some complexity underneath the fruit but it was tough to tell. Still holding up well. -

December 23, 2007 - Plastic enclosure. Big, enormously concentrated. Dark berry on the nose, Dark cherry and other dark berries, licorice and tar on the palate. Still plenty of tannins to go with a steak. At one point also detected a slightly bitter note. Very good wine.
