May 31, 2021 - Very good and a baby - my only regret is not decanting longer. After being open a hour or so the tannins jumped up and added another dimension. No formal note but really enjoyable - a lovely transparency, clean, big but balanced and great with a food. I’ll give my last bottle at least another five years. Love the style

April 23, 2021 - Ripe dark red cherries, rich, earthy and velvety, with sufficient remaining acidity. At or close to peak. Great bottle.

March 28, 2021 - I tasted this right after I opened it and it was tight and almost unpleasant. After 3 hour decant it opened up quite nicely. Tight tannins with a fair amount of acidity. Leather, dried fruit hit the palate first. A moderate finish it surprised me. I wouldn’t load up on it, but having a few bottles left makes me looking forward to giving it another opportunity in another year or two.

February 2, 2021 - This started out just OK, lacking complexity. After slow-paced glass pours (with 30-45 min opening in each glass) the wine peaked in the open bottle after 2.5 hours. Then it was a beauty. Nose: prominent herbs (tarragon), dusty tart cherry, anise, leather, whiffs of sweet tobacco. Palate was less nuanced but followed the nose with prominent herbs accompanied by leather and cherry. Age has resulted in smoothed tannins and med acidity. This paired nicely with lamb chops and roasted tomatos topped with parmesan and herbs.
