March 29, 2024 - One of the finest Domaine Ganevat bottles I've had recently. Golden color, golden apples...less acidity than I prefer but the depth of flavor more than compensated. I just love these bottles.

Mouth - powerful. Initially slightly reduced but with 10 min of air that corrected. The palate is that of intense lemon curd. Some honey flavors on the midpalate as it warms, and then a serious lemon zest reappears on the finish. I adore the intensity of citrus sour I find in the Ganevat whites, which also surprises me since it often occurs in conjunction with oxidative flavors. In short it’s a complex melange. What is he doing that others don't?
