February 1, 2014 - A good average Bordeaux, not meant in a bad way. Was great with shrimp and perogies. Bought a case in 08, got much better with age. Best $10 wine in my cellar.

December 12, 2010 - smoky, spicy, with just enough fruit to make this an excellent quaff. Don't look for sweet flavors -- this is a Cahors -- and it probably needs a few more years to reach its peak, but this was great with duck confit and shows lots of promise.

May 31, 2010 - Mid crimson with light rim. Sweet and fresh nose, chocolate, herbs, meat, dark berry fruit, also blueberry, earth and leather notes. Medium body with a good acidity, milk chocolate, meaty/bloody, grainy tannins in the finish. Also a perfumed note, lavender, mint. Evolved well since the last bottle. Good value. 13% alc. 86

May 23, 2010 - I liked this wine when I first tasted it two years ago but this time it came across as tight and restrained when I opened it. It did not seem balanced on the palate and the flavors were very tart, but the nose was a very nice mix of blackberry, plum, pencil lead and smoke. That was just night one. What impressed me is how much this wine evolved. I drank the wine over four nights and It got better each night. This was a surprisingly interesting wine, especially for the price. Wish I had a few more bottles to age.

September 29, 2009 - I opened a bottel ayear ago and it was harsh. The year has made a difference. The nose ihas deep dark fruit aromas . The tannins are present but sudued and the wine has a mellow and consistent taste and flavor. All in all a very nice old world malbac
