February 21, 2023 - Well, this is an interesting CDP that doesn’t fit into what I’ve come to expect as the normal CDP mold. Rather, it is dominated by brighter, redder, more forward fruit with lots of pretty garrique undertones. I don’t find the usual pencil shaving and saddle leather notes that I find in many CDPs. The mouthfeel is more mid weight and the depth and concentration are admirable. The finish is on the longish side with fine, slightly chalky, well integrated tannins. This is still on the youngish side and was drinking well after several hours of air. I usually like my CDPs with a few more years in the bottle, but I like this one now. That being said, I think this has very many years ahead of it. All in all, quite a delight that might not be every CDP’s lover cup of tea.

October 29, 2022 - Gushes with sweet, cough-syrupy fruit flavored with kirsch and herbs de Provence. The wine equivalent of trying to stuff 20 clowns in a Volkswagen. It has some redeeming qualities but I can't get past wincing with every sip, like with cough syrup. People who like this kind of thing will find this the kind of thing they like.

October 3, 2022 - Bit of heat now, but should be delicious in a few years. Fruit forward
