Brad brought an amazing horizontal of four standout 2019 Comtes Lafon Meursault 1ers He only listed 3 and w/o first seeking approval added a 4th. We love rule breakers! What can I say about Lafon? Well, it's become my hands down favorite white Burg producer, for my palate. I love it for its ethereal nature and top-notch fruit. Brad calls Lafon "class in the glass". I couldn't agree more. Tonight's Genevrieres was true to Lafon but with a little more come hither fruit than the Perrieres. Still though nothing over the top. Perfect balance and reflective of the vineyard. Look, I could be happy drinking any of these as they all are as close to perfect as chardonnay gets for me. Just trying to split hairs. Do you prefer George Clooney's or Robert Redfords perfect hair???

October 25, 2023 - Heidi's Gang: Seriously Folks (St. Genevieve, Mpls, MN): Light gold color. Decanted for 1 hour. Drank a glass over 2 hours. Wow, this was exploding out of the glass. Intense nose of Meye lemon, mandarin orange, citrus blossoms, white peach, and mineralite. The palate is equally expressive offering a complete package with that blissful, tangy, powdery dry extract, equisitely put together and elegant in every way. So nicely layered and incredibly long. This was more complete right now, but comes in as my 2nd of the quartet tonight by just a hair. Amazing! Can this actually get even better with some time?
