January 8, 2024 - Red fruits on the nose, specifically strawberry dominated.
Very rounded tannin, good feeling of acidity. Well balanced, long finish. I loved it very much. Worth for the price.

December 18, 2023 - This is pure Volnay. Light-to-medium bodied, red, fruits, raspberries, strawberries. Will be a beauty.

July 29, 2023 - Initially nose had a very strong toasty lava rock scent that was off putting. This dissipates after a one hour decant and becomes more faint, but remains noticeable. Lighter body. Medium crimson colored robe. Some spice on the palate with juicy fruits. Lightish depth, but very harmonious and nicely fruity.

September 3, 2022 - This was like the old comfortable leather couch, giving pleasure without being an incredible or overwhelming experience. Very harmonious, lovely floral notes with no lack of complexity. Bright red fruit and great tannin. A step up from a village wine for sure and very enjoyable. A great example of Volnay done well.

May 7, 2022 - Not as sophisticated at the Frem but very good after a few hours open. The 19 D'Angervilles are definitely standout. Bright red berry perfume, sweet palate. Definitely lighter than the Femiets but easy to enjoy with lots of floral spice. Looking forward to trying the rest of the range.
