April 4, 2024 - Light in color, brilliant and more reddish than purplish. Red fruits to my nose, strawberries with a hint of cherries for me. Great fruit flavors with a wonderful balance and a pleasant, long finish. Very nice.

January 30, 2023 - A total delight in its youth, this shows intense brambly fruit framed by fine minerals. The Lafarge structure is here, but the tannins are so fine that, unlike some Lafarge, there's no harm in opening one in its youth. This is a bargain in today's Burg world and, along with the Volnay VS, the QPR champion in the Lafarge lineup.

October 21, 2022 - Beastly young and tight. Pure, perfumed, raspberry and a bucket of cherries. Piercing, mineral, intense and focused. Really quite a laser of fruit and mineral, one of the most intense young Pinots I have ever tasted.

NOTE: this was a Daily Drinkers selection courtesy of Justin Wells.

November 11, 2021 - Armistice Day Burgundy Cellar Visits - Lafarge, Boris Champy, and Henri Magnien (Cote d'Or): Tasted at the domaine. Well spiced black berries here, some black and red cherry with black pepper and orange peel. Starts soft and fun, really picks up steam towards long-ish finish with sneaky structure. Much preferred over the 2020 tasted earlier from barrel.
