February 13, 2024 - Terrific texture. Needs some time to leave some baby fat behind. Very sexy fruit. Can't wait to try this with a few years of age.

April 30, 2023 - Archambaud tasting dinner at ESK. My bottle contribution to compare. Drank in Grassl cru.
Appearance is clear, deep intensity, purplish ruby colour. Legs.
Nose is clean, medium+ intensity, with aromas of aromatic dark red cherries, dark spices, licorice, black cherries with more air. Developing.
On the palate, dry, high acidity, high alcohol (14.5%), medium+ tannins, medium+ body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of jammy sweet red cherries, dark sweet spices, licorice, black cherries. Long finish.
Very good quality I suppose. Well-made, and tries to impress on the nose, though towards a New World Pinot kinda way. Palate really feels like it needs a good 5 years at least to develop.

March 11, 2023 - Superdense, ripe black primary fruit dominating at this early juncture. Has a decent underpinning of salty-woody there backed by med+ tannin grip and low-med acid backbone. 14.5% alc.
This is big and bodacious today, easy-to-like for the Burg-curious with some stuffing to age into something a bit more than just primary fruit. Its very big to me (and I like me some fruit), but you take what the season hands you, and I appreciate Amelie's winemaking.

November 21, 2022 - PnP. Deep purple. Very full and lush, but not too rich, balanced weight. Quite primary. Needs lots of time to shed the baby fat. Second day still quite deep. Lots of potential and at a great price point.
