Community Tasting Notes 3

October 19, 2016 - Rousseau '92 and '94 Dinner (Scottsdale, AZ): In a lineup of superstars, something had to come in last place and this was it. The nose was funky and not in a good way. The wine came across as flabby with some bitterness. On its own I'd probably have better things to say, but after what we'd just tasted not so much.

January 29, 2011 - Opened and aired for about an hour. Dark ruby colour, hardly any signs of age, I was quite surprised. Nose of dark berries, a hint of plum, some spice, cloves, but all very subtle and well balanced. Nothing that was in-your-face. Silky mouthfeel, nice acidity, all in all this did not show it's age for it seemed very fresh and alive. I doubt it will profit from more age in bottle so I would reckon this to be enjoyed now. Elegant and reserved wine, beautiful!

May 11, 2009 - Surprising drinkable. Not grand cru quality or even premier cru, but I had expected to have to pour it out
