August 1, 2013 - If this is a part of your wine library, go ahead and drink now. It is certainly well into its decline but holds some favorable character of mature Bordeaux behind its thinness which is becoming more prominent. Light, dusty tannins sit backstage with very mild bell pepper and tobacco tastes touch the palate. As it is past peak just a bit of old stewed fruit flavors creep in. Made much much better with a simply grilled ribeye with sea salt and pepper with mixed rice.
Do not hold - drink ASAP, and with friends who would appreciate a wine that would not necessarily appeal to young fruit.
