October 22, 2022 - Perhaps it’s the nature of the vintage but this wine is already sunny, juicy, fruity and delicious. A brief moment of trapped sulfur vaporized quickly leaving a friendly aroma of fresh pineapple which echoed on the palate. Very nice acidity and length and not too oaky. It will surely settle down and become more complex in the years to come but there’s no harm in drinking it now in its boisterous youth. Jadot always does well with their Bâtard-Montrachet.
