  August 21, 2011 - A bit of age on this bottle has made for some mellow and approachable tannins. Definetly old world in it's approach with a lot of barnyard and leather. A nice bottle of wine.

  June 1, 2010 - Nose was def. the stewed fruit but the palete was much cleaner. Was def. done.....full Garnet colour, tannins softened. Needed Food. Was dry and smooth with nice acceptable length on the finish. Had with Steak and Lobster and it shined with the dinner but after, although appreciated for the aging and complexity, the thought was....Brie would go nice with this.

  December 31, 2009 - Nose and palate of stewed fruit, odd but not distastefully stewed. Some chewy tannins remain - a bit chunky. Don't think it was too old; only bottle we had. Seemed disjointed. Doubt any bottles left would get any better. For what sounds like a poor bottle of wine it was actually quite enjoyable - or maybe I wanted it to be as I have very fond memories of our trip to the Okanagan Valley.

  July 17, 2009 - Bottle was too warm to be able to accurately detect flavors. Stewed fruit and jam notes on the nose and palate. Semi-long finish with some complexity but the 15% alcohol was evident throughout. One of the last Golden Eggs with the old Red Rooster labels.
