May 8, 2024 - HWS; Pulligny and Chassagne Montrachet and Meursault (By JS): Beautiful and complex bouquet with minerals and some butter. On the palate the same impressions, chalky minerals, good citrus, very tasty, some honey, and apple. Already showing what it has in store. Beautiful wine with a good future.

February 9, 2024 - New Zealand and French Chardonnays (Auckland, New Zealand): Rich tulip yellow. Some reduction, herbal edge, and tropical fruit. Big, serious wine that is almost sweet on entry. Excellent acidity, drier finish due to both earth and wood. Bizarre flavor profile for Meursault- the eucalyptus really sticks out.

June 29, 2023 - PNP. Medium yellow color. Deep nose, lemon, mint tea, spice and some orchard fruit elements on the nose. Delicious palate, viscous with a mouth coating texture, citrus fruit and a lemon rind chalky finish. Really great.

April 7, 2023 - PNP. Deep nose, lemons, flint and spice. Ripe and round palate, lemon rind, stone fruits wrapped in a silky texture with lively acidity and and finishes dry and chalky. Very nice.

Update on Day 2. Saved a 1/2 bottle sealed by vacuum and placed in the fridge. The wine is holding up very well. The nose shows more volume, still flinty with more nuanced fruit aromas and complexity. Deep palate, maybe it’s a bit looser and open knit. Still it’s encouraging that it’s holding its poise after being open for over a day.

January 29, 2022 - Oh man the flint and sulphor was strong in the beginning as it was pop-and-pour.
It helped with more air showing flint, uncooked popcorn, butter and yellow fruits on the nose and palate added a touch of tropical fruits on the finish too.

Lovely white Bourg but it needs time!
