  July 18, 2023 - Not familiar with this producer but this exceeded expectations. Very typical Sangiovese profile of sour cherry, a bit of cedar cigar box and plum. Medium+ acid, medium tannin and body. Seems more traditional with more neutral oak usage which is nice. Perhaps this is a product of the excellent 2016 vintage but either way, would rebuy this for a weeknight Italian red.

  February 22, 2023 - At this point I have drunk thru a case of this, and I find it to be a super quality wine at the $10 price point.
  
  This is characterful, authentic, rustic, a little funky, dusty tannins, sour cherry, sage, turning tertiary/ dried fruit characters. high acid and good intensity. decent finish.
  
  No more left, now onto the 2018s. Hope just as enjoyable.

  February 12, 2023 - I like this bottle better than last one. Another year of proper storage made a difference. Excellent with pizza and needed about 30 minutes to open up. Glad to have a few more to enjoy in the next year or two.
