January 18, 2024 - An excellent Vosne for the price. Dark red and merging with orange hue near the rim. Red fruited but deep and has clove, spice, oak with a Christmas pudding characteristic. Everything I want in a village Vosne. This is not ‘big’ by any means and has excellent balance, density and persistence. Fine grained tannins, but very slightly dusty. If I was being picky the finish is slightly dry but not enough to deter me from drinking this endlessly. I’ve had many bottles of this and really appreciate the value.

Gentle but rich oak. Medium-plus in weight, medium/high acid and medium/high chalky tannins too. Even palate, medium length finish. Not subtle, but lush and lovely and sweetly-finishing. A burg for shiraz-lovers.
