March 5, 2024 - If you have any bottles of 2018 Spottswoode Lyndenhurst Cab in your cellar, leave them there. I popped and I poured, and I sipped my wine over three evening's. The results were different on all three evening's. On evening one the wine was a bit fruity and somewhat charming. On evening two the wine was a bit closed down and tannin's emerged. On evening three it had opened up a bit, but not enough to really enjoy. 90 for now, but that could go higher in another decade. Is it worth $78 a bottle? Only time will tell.

March 2, 2024 - A perfect pairing with smoked rib eye. Decanter for two hours and it opened up nicely. A wonderful wine, glad we waited to drink it.

February 25, 2024 - Dark ruby hue. Aromas and flavors of blackberry, blueberry, cassis, earthy, licorice, and oak. Plus body, tannins, and acidity. Exemplary Napa Cab.

January 26, 2024 - Concentrated black and blue fruit… creme de cassis. Youthful, primary, spicy. Oak and alcohol is not yet integrated and clearly present. Drying mouth puckering tannin on the finish. Hopefully, this wine will settle down with 2-3 more years in the bottle.

December 15, 2023 - Gained some complexity since last tasting. Great cab and silky feel. Everything on point . Wish I had some more to try in 5 years.
