March 2, 2023 - Has definitely improved with another year in the bottle. The acidity has softened, and it’s not as sour as it once was. Now and Later candy, cinnamon, scorched clay. Not too much action on the finish.

December 20, 2021 - This Mencia needs a little more time. Perfect cork, easily removed. Consumed over four days in an ageability test. Dark burgundy color with good clarity. Aromas of boysenberries and pomegranate with peppery flavors of red cherry, currant, and rhubarb and medium finish.
