Community Tasting Notes 11

October 27, 2023 - Nice red fruit up front and a little tart. Medium body and paired well with BBQ burgers and game 1 of 2023 World Series. While the body and taste was there, could not help but wonder if letting it sit a little longer would be a good call.

May 29, 2023 - Dark ruby red color. Full bodied with medium tannins. Good structure, with plums, cherries, oak and cassis. Much better than I excepted.

March 19, 2023 - The wine is a tribute to the early 20th-century board track racers and like them… it's not for the faint of heart.

"The Chief" has a bold personality, just like those riders who risked life & limb to race on those dangerous tracks.

The aroma is full of dark berries, cocoa, & a hint of leather, making you feel like you're stepping into a classic motorcycle garage.

On the palate, it carries a powerhouse of flavor, with notes of black cherry, blackberry, & a touch of spice.

While I found it a little too sweet, it got my guests engines revving! (too much?)

December 8, 2022 - I was sorry to see a couple of folks had a poor experience with this wine. The bottle I’m drinking is quite good. Ripe plum and cassis, a tad tart and a nice fruit forward balance.
