Community Tasting Notes 10

November 10, 2018 - The bottle was in the good condition. The colour is still vibrant. However the nose is subdued, showing nice but light aromas after 2-3 hours. A bit flat and short in the the mouth.

March 22, 2015 - From .375. I was pleasantly surprised by this bottle. Very drinkable claret with good backbone of acidity, licorice, dark chocolate. Quite nice.

September 1, 2014 - This had a Ws rating of 76 on the shelf talker. Well that made me have to buy it. Not supposed to be a great year. Wine had no signs of old age. As I've read reviews it is said that it won't get better; I don't know. This is a well made wine and at this point anything is possible. Smooth, supple, classic merlot fruit. Wish I had more. A pleasure to drink and a wonderful pair with almost anything.

January 22, 2012 - Brilliant, dark color without signs of ageing. Nose is classic bordeaux as is the palate. A quite dry wine - complex but with medium-short finsh. I doubt it'll impeove significantly with age, so drink now.

January 8, 2012 - Good depth of darkish cherry-skin colour for a wine from a weaker vintage, with no bricking as yet. Caraway seeds are the first impression, followed by dried fruits, then dried black fruits, even hinting at prunes. But not overripe. (13.5% alcohol shown on the label). The wood emerges and then recedes. Full bodied. Good ripeness on the palate and no dilution. Classic Right Bank, but with an accent on dried black fruit flavours. Drying tannins toward the end of the bottle. This very good plus wine is at peak.
