June 24, 2018 - Surprisingly drinkable after 45 years but fruit was gone and it was way past it's prime.

December 25, 2013 - Decanted for 30 min. Medium garnet, amber-garnet rim. Medium(-) closed in mostly savory aromas (leather, barnyard) with some fruit notes. Dry, medium(-) body, medium(+) acidity, low tannin. Medium flavors of red cherries, coffee, caramel. Fine light texture, remarkable virile for a 40-year old. Good length with dry finish during which ripe tannin show their color. Drink now.

January 15, 1993 - Dark carmine with a brown edge. Very expressive bouquet with good oak and cassis. Supple with berry fruit, good bitterness and oak. This wine is fairly full bodied and in complete harmony now. Mature, but still enough power. This is the 5th bottle I taste (this one was blind), but this was certainly the best. Impressive how vital and lively this 20 year old wine still is.
