April 28, 2024 - Still quite young though lovely and easy to drink. Gentle tannins.

April 22, 2024 - Disappointed in this Syrah. Other K wines have been tasty and interesting, but this was very light and somewhat bland. You can tell it's a Syrah, but only because of the nose. Reminded me of inexpensive Croze Hermitage. If I paid $15 for this, I'd still not buy it again, but I would be glad I tried it. We have a 2020 and I hope it will be a bit richer.

March 1, 2024 - Oh, it has been far too long since I have had the sheer pleasure of imbibing Charles Smith’s signature series ’K Vintners’ - note to self: do not do this mistake again! Kicking off ’Washington State Wine Month’ in style with t sincerely enjoyable Milbrandt Syrah (v19, 14% ABV). Dark ruby-red, purple reflections upon pouring, fully translucent in appearance. Expressive, forceful nose & palate combining pepper, bitter cherries, blood, distinctive earth, smoke, m-bodied, vivid acidity & intensity, bitter-driven, lengthy close!

February 25, 2024 - Medium full body, fruity, concentrated, round.

November 24, 2023 - Enjoyable for sure and a great example of WA syrah for under $30, that distinct combo of ashy olive brine and rich, round black plummy/blackberry fruit. Their recent syrah vintages don't really "grab" me like they used to (the last 3 or so years just feel a bit less...dramatic? Interesting?) but it's still delicious and complex. Needs a few years to come out of its shell a bit; right now it's on the shy side. Solid texture and energy for the style, though. Tasty.
