March 4, 2024 - Very good but fully mature, don't think it'll get better (based on this particular bottle)

January 3, 2024 - This seemed perfectly mature. Nevertheless, there were some of these slightly „unclean“ Monprivato notes I sometimes struggle with, first I thought it might have some TCA or Brett. Besides that, the wine was showing very nicely though. Notes of darker red fruit, some cellar notes too, there is also some animalic notes, tobacco, tar. It‘s medium+ bodied, with good persistence, some medium-high acidity and medium tannin that is very silky. Good length. Maybe I just don‘t get these wines completely.

December 28, 2023 - I bought 3 bottles from Garagiste back in the day. My 3rd corked bottle (100 percent corked🤪. Congrats Garagiste!). I get some cherries so you get some points from being 70. Disappointed for sure. I need a Two Buck Chuck to cleanse my palate! At least if the cork was stuck in my *ars the barnyard would make me think some type of Rhone wine with some additional points. Nope. Good God...next.....

December 13, 2023 - Both bottles (from different cellars) showed similarly (and well). Black cherry, tar, and roses, some tannic structure but quite approachable. Lovely. A-

Rockss and Fruit

(Giuseppe Mascarello Monprivato) Super earthy nose with lots of germanium and some tree bark. Darker fruits than the Cascina Francia and seems like a more powerful wine. Great sweetness and density. Dark and brooding wine that has enormous potential. Really explosive midpalate and length. Beautiful wine with the moniker as one of the QPR's of the vintage.

(Giuseppe Mascarello Monprivato) This showed a little strange. I had a bottle around a month ago and it showed much better. I got a slight hint of TCA. Even with thit looming over this still was a great wine. The trademark geranium was there in spades along with steel and floral aromas. Violets. Very ripe sweet cherry with excellent elegance. Good bottle but not great but I know this wine is great and this was not a representative bottle.

(Giuseppe Mascarello Monprivato) This was shockingly open with a lush mouthfeel and a beautiful nose of roses, black cherry fruit, some slight road tar and heavy minerality. Almost sweet on the palate but not offensive in any way. Mouthfeel was great and the youthful sappiness of the fruit was very appealing. I know this has legs but man . . . it tasted great for two days.
