January 1, 2013 - - Light gold color. It's in total harmony and has flavours of orange blossom, lemon, peach, pineapple and melon with a light/medium body. Satin-Like texture with a long finish - I've been saving this "sucker" in the back of my closet for almost nine years. I know that it's not the most famous of German Rieslings, but I jumped on a couple of bottles when I saw them. Eleven bucks and change for a Spatlese from a master vintner in a monster vintage. Drank the first bottle two years ago. It was almost as wonderful as this one. This wine is an all around star. It's quite complex in flavors, almost happily overwhelming your taste buds with pleasure. Perfect with grilled trout, Chicken Francais, or any other fish or fowl dish, it is also a great cheese accompaniment or perfect on it's own. I'm just a bit sad that I didn't load up on more bottles.
