February 17, 2024 - Flavors of cherry and pomegranates and light tannins.

October 4, 2023 - At the winery. 60% Ginestra, 30% Bosconi, 10% Bussia. Nose is quite developed, ripe red cherry, star anise, florals. Light and airy. Medium bodied, elegant, savoury notes, spice, very fine tannins, lovely vibrant acids - this has good energy and a good length lightly grippy finish. Already enjoyable and should improve.

September 6, 2023 - An easy drinking medium bodied Barolo. I get sweet raspberry fruit with a finishing of strawberries. Nose is Raspberry. Finish has firming tannins.

August 22, 2023 - Prince - Barolo 2019 (Prince Sydney, 40 Hansard Street): Fruit tea, pot pourri, red plums have a touch of umeboshi and is joined by cherry with time, slight sweet spice. Juicy, cherry, those red plum notes, saline then plentiful tannic grip that is quite silkily textured closes down the palate. Non intrusive alcohol warmth on the finish. Hmm

April 19, 2023 - Barolo Boys 2019 Comune Barolo Tasting (67 Pall Mall): The Cellar Tracker title should perhaps list this as being a "comune di Monforte d'Alba" barolo as the label shows.

The oak regime is being reigned in a bit here with now being 15% barrique and 85% botte though Nelson and Fede say when you walk into the winery it smells like a carpenters shop!

On the nose sweet raspberry, blood orange, oak and tobacco. On the palate the sweet raspberry shows before some firm teeth coating tannins kick in. Oak doesn't feel too overwhelming but I wasn't so enamored with this.
