March 25, 2024 - Opened by Mark. The grapes for this wine come from a strict selection of the smallest bunches from the estate’s oldest plot. The grapes are given 50 days maceration to produce a dark crimson color. Full bodied with black fruit, mocha and cedar notes. Overall not as fruity as the other two 2018 Chianti wines that we tried but very nice. Still very young. 91+ points.

March 3, 2024 - Рубиновый цвет средней плотности, прозрачное. В аромате чёрные ягоды, ваниль, дерево, специи, кожа, сливки, аптека. Во вкусе плотное, высокая кислотность, комплексное, интенсивные танины. 91/100

December 29, 2023 - Double decanted and drank over two days. Reticent nose, especially at first, then giving way to black fruit, no alcohol burn. Red and black fruit on the palate, that Sangiovese flavor in the background, lively tannin although not overbearing. Overall enjoyable now but will get better in a year or two (of course). 90 today.

August 12, 2022 - This was slightly more closed than my last bottle, I gave it a decant, and it‘s opening up slowly over a few hours. Still a very beautiful Chianti Classico Riserva, elegang and layered, full of freshness too. I would give this a few more years now though.

September 29, 2021 - Deep pretty dark color. Needs a short moment to open up in the glass, but seems to be still open for business. Notes of dark and dark red cherries, lavender, savory herbs, also some graphite, but mostly brighter and lifted despite the darker fruit. It‘s medium-full bodied, with excellent mid-palate persistence, has pretty high acidity and medium+ tannin that is exceptionally silky. Long finish with plenty of tension and freshness. A lovely Riserva from this excellent producer.
